Who is Klara, anyway?
Klara is our patient communication platform. If you’ve gotten an automated message or call confirming your appointments, you’ve already met Klara. Klara is HIPAA compliant, meaning your data is always securely protected.
Is Klara AI?
Klara is not an artificial intelligence. While it does send some automated messages, you will never have to converse with an AI model. All messages that come through Klara (aside from automated messages like appointment reminders) are answered by real staff in our office.
How can I use Klara?
Beyond sending out reminders about your upcoming appointments, Klara has many tools you can use to make your patient experience smoother.
Klara sends out reminders when it’s time to schedule your appointment.
You can even book your own appointment online through Klara!
Klara will send updates about your account, and you can pay your bill electronically.
You can message our staff through Klara if you have questions.
Have a concerning spot or rash? Send a picture to us through Klara!
Response Time
Because Klara is monitored by human staff and not an AI model, response times can vary. In general, we respond within 1 business day.
Opting In/Out
If you haven’t already seen our Klara consent form, we will offer the opportunity to continue receiving messages from Klara at your next visit. If you’d rather opt out, just let our front desk know when you check in. We can also minimize messages you get if you’d rather receive only text messages or opt out of emails or automated phone calls. Keep in mind, if you opt out of Klara entirely, you won’t be able to use the platform to complete any of the functions listed above. If you’ve previously opted out and would like to opt back in,
